Norwegian Priorities in the Arctic

The Arctic remains a strategic priority for Norway, providing new opportunities and new challenges.

Norway's policies for the region are aimed at protecting the environment, maintaining settlement patterns and promoting business development. Norway will further develop cooperation with our other partners in the north.

The sea areas north of the Norwegian mainland contain substantial fossil fuel and renewable fisheries resources. The responsible management of these resources ensure that they will benefit the region and beyond, providing food and energy to the UK and a many other countries across the world.

This video and brochure provide further information on Norway's policies and achievements in the region.
