New A K Dolven show

One of Norway’s foremost contemporary artists, A K Dolven, will exhibit video art in Shoreditch in January. With her art she creates a staged ordinariness that shows us that nothing in life is in fact ordinary…

London-based artist Anne Katrine Dolven is well-known as a painter but has also worked with graphics, photography and installation, and this time her exhibition presents different video clips of scenes of everyday life. She considers concepts the central aspect of her work, while she regards the technical elements as means.

Having worked in London and Berlin, Anne Katrine Dolven has over the past years established herself as one of Norway's most sought-after contemporary artists. She has had a number of major solo exhibitions with significant international institutions and received awards for her work, one of these being the Fred Thieler-award. South London Gallery, Philadelphia Museum of Art, Kunsthalle Nurnberg and Kunsthalle Bern are amongst the international galleries and institutions where her work has been exhibited.
