The works of one of Norway’s most distinguished landscape painters, Ørnulf Opdahl, will be exhibited at Kings Place Gallery from November to February.

Ørnulf Opdahl’s exhibition “Mood Paintings of the North” clearly shows the relationship between the painter and his native landscape in Western Norway. The unique exhibition at Kings Place Gallery will depict the forces of nature as well as the rugged landscape of the Sunnmøre Mountains and the nearby fjords. The deep contrasts and the special light of the Norwegian landscape are central elements in Opdahl’s paintings.

Ørnulf Opdahl lives and works on the island of Godøy on the west coast near Ålesund where he was born in 1944, and which he returned to after years of living in Oslo. Opdahl’s paintings can be found in various galleries both in Norway and abroad.
