The snow is starting to cover the landscape and the winter has already arrived in the Norwegian mountains as numerous ski centres are opening to the public where the slopes are waiting to be tested.
Trysil, Hemsedal, Hafjell and Geilo are just a few out of many places in Norway that are offering tourists fresh snow and hundreds of kilometres of prepared ski tracks and alpine ski slopes. Have a look in the right menu for a list of available ski destinations in Norway.

Skiing for everyone
Green, blue, red and black are the codes for how challenging your route will be. In the Norwegian mountains you will find something for everybody, ranging from the extremely experienced (black track), the not so experienced (green track) to special activities for kids. Most places offer ski training.

More than skiing
Norway is rich in nature and Norwegians know how to take advantage of the experiences that nature provides, in summer as well as winter. If the alpine ski runs are not challenging enough, what about getting into ski kiting, ice climbing, ice fishing or outdoor sleeping in an igloo?

Unlimited access
Norwegians have practically unlimited access to skiing and winter games. There are marked ski trails that are open to everyone all across the country. All together they count for 30 000 kilometres of tracks, which wind their way through the landscape.
