Yggdrasil Research Scholarships
Yggdrasil is a new mobility programme from the Research Council of Norway designed to promote the international exchange of advanced students and scientists. PhD students and young scientists from a number of countries, including the UK are eligible to participate. Candidates for the Yggdrasil programme should send their application direct to the Research Council, not to the Norwegian Embassy.
Application deadline for the academic year 2011-12: 16th February 2011.

Semester Bursary
A Semester Bursary (semesterstipend) is available twice annually for foreign students of Norwegian or related subjects studying at a European university with a department of Nordic or Scandinavian studies. The students must come recommended by their lecturer in their home country and must find a local tutor in Norway who is willing to guide them. Memorial Fund of 8th May
