9pm Flag Hoisting
 The Norwegian School in Wimbledon

  • Address by H.E. Ambassador Bjarne Lindstrøm
  • Speech by pupil, Henrik Rørheim
  • Songs: “Ja, vi elsker” and “Norge i rødt, hvitt og blått”

11.30pm Celebration Service

 The Norwegian Seamen’s Church

  • by the Rev. Torbjørn Holt and Hallvard Mosdøl
  • Coffee and refreshments

1pm 17 May Celebration in Southwark Park
 Admission:  Adults £3.00, Students £2.00, Children under 16  Free

  • 17 May speeches by Chairman of the 17 May Committee, Anni Glesaaen, Minister of Finance Kristin Halvorsen
  • Children’s speeches by Abelone Tislevoll and Dana Pittman from Lørdagsskolen, Camilla Engeland and Lotte Engelien from the Norwegian School in Wimbledon
  • Entertainment by Ha det på badet and Papalarny “The Balloon Man”
  • Songs by Gullguttene
  • Games for the children
  • Puppet show
  • Sale of hot dogs, soft drinks and chocholate by the Norwegian YWCA
  • Sale of Norwegian rosettes and flags
