"The Girl Band Project: Chilimango (Paint It Black)" (2001) stages a prepubescent girl band from Lund, Sweden to look at the state of feminism within a particular social reality.

The two part video work refers to the history of rock and performitivity to reflect upon female entrance on a male dominated field. What are the conditions that make the girls activities possible and how have the band achieved so impressing results in such early age? The project questions reconstruction of cultural heritage from a feminist perspective.
