25/11/2004 :: This autumn, schools in the Edinburgh area were invited to take part in a drawing / writing competition on the theme of Scotland and Norway. The prize (one in each category) was a trip to Norway.

Many excellent contributions were submitted and the team of judges (from the Norwegian Consulate General, Hordaland County Council, Hordaland and Bergen Tourist Board and the City of Edinburgh Council [Education Dept.]) had a very hard job picking the winners.

Finally,  a decision was made and Robyn McNally (Bruntsfield Primary School) and Kate Ramasawmy (Stockbridge Primary School) were declared as winners.

Robyn and Kate will be presented with their prizes at the Lighting Ceremony (for the Norwegian Christmas Tree) in Lower East Princes Street Gardens at 5.45 tonight.
