The Norwegian Embassy in London is one of Norway’s main missions abroad.

The Norwegian Consulate is now temporarily housed in the building of the Embassy of Sweden. The Ambassadors of Norway and Sweden, Kim Traavik and Nicola Clase, cut the ribbon to the newly refurbished offices on 24 January.

Visa applicants who wish to apply for a visa at the Embassy in London must lodge and pay for their applications on the internet before submitting their supporting documents to the Embassy.

The Embassy have introduced new passport procedures and you now need to schedule an appointment in order to apply for a new passport.

Royal Norwegian Consulate General in Edinburgh is located at Rutland House, 12 Rutland Square in Edinburgh's west end district. Honorary Consul General is David Windmill and Consul is Mona Røhne. The Consul General’s consular districts are the City of Edinburgh, West Lothian, Midlothian, East Lothian and the Scottish Borders.

The Consular Section has the following opening hours: Enquiries by phone: 10.00-11.00 Monday-Friday Visa appointments and visa collections: 11.00-12.00 Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday Passport appointments, Norwegian passport collections and other enquiries: 13.30-15.00 Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday Wednesdays are closed for customers.
