As part of the 2005 Nansen series, a day-long colloquium on the subject of ‘Promoting Peace’ will be held at the Manchester Metropolitan University
19/05/2005 :: Manchester Metropolitan University, in cooperation with the Royal Norwegian Embassy in London, is hosting a day-long colloquium on the subject of ‘Promoting Peace’. The seminar is part of the Nansen series, celebrating Norway’s centennial as an independent nation.
The objective of the Manchester colloquium is to examine peace promotion as a specific area of international activity, one in which Norway has been very active. Using experience from the Nordic region and the United Kingdom, the utility of ‘peace processes’ will be examined.
