A number of christmas events will take place in Aberdeen this year. One of which is the gifting of a christmas tree to the people of Aberdeen from the Mayor and community of Stavanger.
The city of Aberdeen's Christmas Tree gifted by their twin city Stavanger in Norway will be switched on by both the Lord Provost of Aberdeen and the Consul General of Norway, Mr Øystein Hovdkinn.
The City of Aberdeen Council invite people to join the communities of Aberdeen and Stavanger to celebrate the switch on of the City's tree with song and friendship.
Following the switch on, The Norwegian Consulate General invites you to a concert featuring Grieg classics at St Mark's Church on Rosemount Viaduct. Musicians Accordion Jon Faukstad, Fiddler Øystein Rudi and Mezzo-Soprano Sally Garden will be performing.
