13/02/2004 :: Duo Airlines flies Edinburgh to Oslo Airport Gardermoen daily. Ryanair operates a daily route between Glasgow Prestwick and Sandefjord Torp. Haugesund based Coast Air, Aberdeen and Bergen Flesland twice a day on weekdays, whilst Widerøe also operates this route and a route between Aberdeen and Stavanger on a daily basis. LoganAir has over the last years offered a direct flight from Kirkwall to Bergen in the summer season.
All the major international airlines offer flights to Norway via hubs in the UK or in Europe.
Sea-Cargo operates two multi-purpose vessels from Aberdeen to various destinations up and down the western coast of Norway including Haugesund, Tananger, Bergen, Florø, Ålesund, Molde, Kristiansund and Trondheim via Amsterdam and Immingham.
Smyril Line has over the past years offered a seasonal cruise between Lerwick and Bergen.
Newcastle is also a gateway to Scandinavia. Widerøe operates a flight between Newcastle and Stavanger, while DFDS Seaway's ships sail from Newcastle to Kristiansand. Also, FjordLine operates a ferry from Newcastle to Bergen, Haugesund and Stavanger.
