'THROUGH HELL AND HIGH WATER', Elly Taylor's acclaimed feature documentary, has won a SILVER SCREEN AWARD at the highly competitive US International Film and Video Festival.
The Awards ceremony is on 4th June, 2005 at the Wyndham Bel Age Hotel in West Hollywood, Los Angeles. Director Elly Taylor will be attending.
This is the second SILVER award the film has received. In January this year, at the New York International Film and Video Festival, the film won a SILVER WORLD MEDAL.
The US International Film and Video Festival was founded in 1968 and is one of the world's leading international events devoted exclusively to the yearly selection and recognition of outstanding TV and film productions, Industry leaders, producers and directors will gather from around the world to attend this prestigious occasion in celebration of the award-winning productions.
The film tells the moving World War ll love story of Nancy and Archie Kelly. It is full of courage, compassion and above all shows the determination of the human spirit to fight for freedom at all costs.
If you have not seen the film there is a chance to catch it at the FILMHOUSE, EDINBURGH on 15th August, 2005. It is being screened in commemoration of VJ day (Victory in Japan).
