Lecture on Social Security

Dr Einar Øverbye, Norwegian Social Research [NOVA], Oslo, will give a lecture entitled “Social Security: For the poor, the rich or the middle mass? Theorethical perspectives on redistribution in social security schemes in European, American, African, Asian and Australasian parts of the world” on Monday 14th March 2005.

The lecture is part of Edinburgh University's Northern Scholar Scheme and is open for everyone interested. The lecture will be followed by a Drinks Reception.

Dr Øverbye will also give a seminar entitled “The Politics of Family Policy in Scandinavia” on Wednesday 16th.
