Groundbreaking Health & Safety

What are the consequences of a 20-second error of judgement on an oilrig? Scottish theatre company ‘Acting Up’ has produced a short theatre play about just that.

The play is called ‘Gail’s Shoes’ and is about a woman whose husband had an accident on an oilrig due to a ‘human error’. The play is highly moving and thought provoking, and brilliantly acted.

The play has been very well received by Health and Safety Executives, as well as senior management in various large oil companies who believe in making health and safety personal.

‘Gail’s Shoes’ has been performed in front of thousands of oil workers to great acclaim and has recently been translated into Dutch and Norwegian.
