Norwegian artist at Glasgow Festival

Audhild Dahlstrøm graduated from the Masters of Fine Art, Glasgow School of Art in July 2004 and is now living and working in London. Audhild is one of many talented artists selected to take part in this years Glasgow International Festival of Contemporary Art.

The festival is Glasgow’s first curated and commissioned Festival of Contemporary Visual Art and will take place across the city over twelve days from Thursday 21st April until Monday 2nd May 2005.

The programme highlights a number of internationally significant artists amongst them Barbara Kruger, the Chapman brothers and Douglas Gordon. It also supports a range of grassroots activity, highlighting the many emerging artists that Glasgow continues to produce and sustain.

Audhild is also a filmmaker and her last film 'Beitråchad in mytling finnagøs op' (using invented language), was short-listed for this year's 'Birds Eye View' British Women Filmmakers Festival, London 2005.

Later this year she will be taking part in a group show in Gallery Sowaka, Kyoto, Japan followed by a solo show in a public gallery in Norway, Hå Gamle Prestegård. She is also involved in a Norwegian project called ‘Den Kulturelle Skulesekken’ which is a programme promoting art in schools.
