30 groups and over 800 young artists will be coming to Aberdeen from all over the world to perform at this year's International Youth Festival. The Festival will not only present the best international companies, it will also create innovative new dance, music and choral performances.

This newly commissioned show is an exciting and colourful way of introducing the range of international performers to children and young people. This year, the Pied Piper of Peterhead will whisk you across the globe, visiting Canada, the Cayman Islands, China, Norway, Trinidad and the Ukraine, experiencing music and dance along the way.

Væike Pæike is a piano trio with three young and exciting musicians from Stavanger, Norway. Their material is original and the expression could be characterized as modern jazz with focus on melody and textures. Henning has studied at the Jazz Conservatory of Stavanger and is currently studying at Royal Rhythmical Conservatory in Copenhagen. Magnus and Dag have been playing together for three years and are both currently studying at the Jazz Conservatory of Stavanger.
WEDNESDAY 10 AUGUST
Global Voices

Choral spectacular featuring choirs from Hong Kong, Glasgow,Norway and Ukraine. The evening will include specially composed music by Mike Brewer, OBE.
