 Date:11/09/2004
 Type:Culture, Music
 Location:Scotland, Edinburgh

This up and coming band returns to the Caledonian Backpackers to entice the audience, once again.

The band ÅSA combines the talents of singer/writer Åsa Seljestad, writer/composer Paul Croan and technical consultant Baz.

The band got together in November 2002 and had its first gig at the Commplex in Leith one year later. Following great critical acclaim, the band has had another ten gigs in Edinburgh and Dundee and been approached by 'Branded Records' in Manchester. The band is currently producing its first album which is expected to be released in November this year.

The Daily Record described their music as '..haunting, breathily, sparce chillout music that sells cars by the dozen...' and '...there is more to this band than Groove Armada's coffee table chill by numbers...'.

Saturday's gig will take place at the Caledonian Backpackers, West End (3 Queensferry St.), Edinburgh at 8.30pm.

Tickets: £5  (can be purchased at the door).
