Roy Powell Trio featuring excellent Norwegian bassist Frode Berg is touring the UK. Hear these fine musicians at Ronnie Scott's (5 -10 July) and Ray's Jazz (10 July) in London, and in Edinburgh, Wigan and Manchester

Frode Berg
Frode Berg is one of Norway's finest musicians. He has gigged with Donna Summer, Shirley Bassey, Pavarotti, Art Garfunkel, Frank Gambale, Danny Gottlieb and all good Norwegian artists.

"Berg is a monster bassist, indeed. His lustrous, walking lines and fleet fingered soloing escapades serve as a limber bottom end for his very capable band mates," writes Jazz Review on Frode Berg's new album Dig It!

Frode Berg's critically praised album features a fine lineup: Petter Wettre on tenor saxophone, Roy Powell on piano and Andreas Bye on drums.
