One of Norway's most popular female singers, 25-year-old Marit Larsen, is currently supporting American chart-topper Jason Mraz on his European tour, which includes three UK dates.

Singer/songwriter Larsen, released her second album 'The Chase' in Norway last year, and it quickly sold to platinum and produced a number one hit, just like her debut album 'Under the Surface' did in 2006.

Larsen first gained international fame during her teenage years as a member of the pop duo M2M with childhood friend Marion Raven. After touring the world and producing two albums with hits such as ‘Don't Say You Love Me’, ‘Mirror Mirror’, and ‘Everything’, M2M was dropped by Atlantic Records in September 2002. After the break-up of M2M, Raven set off on her own solo career, while Larsen took time off to reflect on her career, but returned in 2006 with her debut single 'Don't Save Me' which stayed at the top of the Norwegian charts for five consecutive weeks. 'If A Song Could Get Me You', Larsen's first single from her latest album, also went straight to number 1 in the Norwegian singles chart last year.

Of her music, Larsen says: "My everyday life revolves around making my songs. I find songs everywhere. In between two words of a conversation. Waiting for the bus. Watching myself in the mirror wearing a good dress. Reading phenomenal books. Walking up the five flights of stairs to my apartment. I've always been obsessed with music. Most of my memories, good and bad, have their own soundtrack, which is, by the way, by far the best thing about music."
