Norwegian rock sensation Ida Maria is back in the UK for the festival season with numerous concerts in England in August and September.

The rock chick from Nesna, Norway, hit headlines in 2006 when she won the Norwegian national radio station NRK P3’s talent competition ‘Urørt’ (Untouched), and has since then taken the music world by storm. Ida Maria and her band have played several concerts in the UK in 2008, as well as making an appearance on ‘Later… with Jools Holland’ on BBC 2 in February.

Ida Maria’s new single ‘I Like You So Much Better When You’re Naked’, which was A-listed by BBC Radio 1, went straight into the UK Top 20 charts.  Her debut album 'Fortress Round My Heart’, which includes tracks such as ‘Oh My God’, ‘Queen of the World’ and ‘Stella’, is out now. This summer Ida Maria has already kept herself busy by playing at festivals such as Glastonbury, T in The Park and Love Box Weekender to mention a few.

UK concerts:
22 August: Reading Festival
23 August: Leeds Festival
6 September: Bestival, Isle Of Wight
7 September: Sugarhill Festival, Swindon
