Yakov Kreizberg
“With an incredible energy and perfect technical command (the conductor transformed himself into music: there was no difference between the music and the gestures of Kreizberg, they were one and the same thing) and an incomparable charisma, this Russian made the musicians reach a state of an unusual interpretative "trance" which touched the audience.”

– Guilherme Mannis,, 25th May 2003

The Russian-born American conductor Yakov Kreizberg has established a superb international reputation both in the opera house and on the concert podium. He holds the posts of Chief Conductor and Artistic Advisor of the Netherlands Philharmonic and Netherlands Chamber Orchestras and Principal Guest Conductor to the Vienna Symphony Orchestra. With the Netherlands Philharmonic Orchestra he will regularly record with PentaTone Music: their first recording which featured Schmidt's Symphony No. 4 was highly praised upon release last season.
