Accordionist Stian Carstensen and saxophonist Iain Ballamy and their band Farmers Market are set to play four gigs in the UK, promising witty retakes of jazz standards, infectious Bulgarian melodies and dazzling performances

This double bill of Norway and England’s most talented bands promises witty retakes of jazz standards, infectious Bulgarian melodies and dazzling performances.

A magical duo between British saxophonist Iain Ballamy and Norwegian accordion player Stian Carstensen.

The resonance of button accordion and tenor saxophone is a rare, rich and beautiful sonority. Iain and Stian’s duo performances are highly memorable experiences and have captivated audiences throughout Northern Europe. Combining thoughtful arrangements and lyrical melodies with a large dose of wit, their playing is both wonderfully intimate and thoroughly entertaining.

‘Iain Ballamy and Stian Carstensen are a breath of fresh air with a love of well-crafted melodies that speak to everyone.’ The Observer Music Monthly
