Norwegian singers at Cheltenham Jazz Festival

Enchanting songbird Silje Nergaard returns to the Cheltenham Jazz festival following her sell-out appearance in 2004. Celebrated singer Sidsel Endresen will also make an appearance as part of the group Speeq.

The festival's highlights include American saxophonist and free spirit Charles Lloyd who brings his new quartet. Miles Davis’ influential sideman Bennie Maupin makes a rare UK appearance, and the groundbreaking composer and trombonist Bob Brookmeyer is the artist in residence.

The festival opens with the sweet sounds of Madeleine Peyroux, the wonderful Guillemots play an exclusive jazz set, Marti Pellow plays an intimate concert in the town hall, Curtis Stigers guests with the live BBC broadcast of the Michael Parkinson radio show, and Clint’s son Kyle Eastwood headlines the festival's Daffodil series.
