Norwegian singer/songwriter Ane Brun, one of 2005's biggest success stories in her native country, releases her album 'A Temporary Dive' in the UK on Monday 15 May.

Since her debut album 'Spending time with Morgan' in 2003, Brun has been pulling full houses on her frequent tours in Europe and winning numerous of musical awards. Her second album 'A Temporary Dive' was recorded together with the producer Katharina Nuttall. Much of the album’s content is a reflection of the year that followed the release of the debut “Spending Time With Morgan”. A year filled with both ups and downs according to Brun.

Despite generous offers from several major record companies, Brun chose to release her album on her own label DetErMine Records - licensed to V2 Music. Since the release of her debut album she has played over 150 gigs throughout Europe and shared stage with great artists such as PJ Harvey, a-Ha and Mary Gauthier.

A third album, 'Duets', released in Norway in November, featured collaborations with artists such as Syd Matters, Ron Sexsmith, Wendy McNeill and Scandinavians Tobias Fröberg, Ellekari Larsson and Madrugada. The latter is currently Norway's best selling rock group and Brun's duet with the band 'Lift Me' shot to number one in the Norwegian singles chart before Christmas.

'A Temporary Dive', an extended version from the one originally released in Norway, is out on V2 on 15 May. Ane Brun is currently touring the US, but will hold gigs in the UK in June.
