Multi-award winning film ‘Reprise’, the thrilling debut from director Joachim Trier, will be released on DVD in the UK on 25 February.
Best friends, Phillip and Erik share a love of punk, girls and parties. They also share a dream of getting their novels published and becoming famous authors. But neither could predict the consequences of striving to achieve their ambition.
A stylish, sexy and funny story about growing up, ‘Reprise’ features a thumping soundtrack (Joy Division, New Order) and a youthful energy that buzzes throughout.
The film was nominated for an Oscar in 2007, and was recently nominated for the European Film Awards in the category ‘The People’s Choice Award 2007’ alongside 11 other films including ‘The Queen’, ‘The Last King of Scotland’ and ‘2 Days in Paris’. The film has already received many awards, including Best Script and Best Director at the Amanda Awards in Norway and the Diesel Discovery Award at Toronto in 2006.
'Reprise', released by Diffusion Pictures in the UK, is Joachim Trier’s debut film - a former skateboarding champion, who attended the National Film & Television School in London.
“The film buzzes with snappy editing and a pounding garage rock soundtrack. Imagine Trainspotting with better furniture.” Independent on Sunday
