World Design in Norway

In September designers from all over the world will be coming to Oslo to take part in the Era 05 World Design Congress.

26/08/2005 :: Through exhibitions, installations and experiments the delegates will be challenged to explore the borders of their senses at the Oslo Lighting Festival along the Aker River and in the Norwegian Centre for Design and Architecture.

Nine hundred delegates from around the world including industrialists, academics and politicians in addition to members of the international design community are expected to take part in the congress. The congress will be held in Oslo Thursday 22- 24 September, it then moves to Helsinki, Gothenburg and comes to a close in Copenhagen. 

World Design Congress is developed by 16 leading design organisations in Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Finland. The Norwegian developers are: Norwegian Design Council, Norsk Form, Norwegian Organization of Interior and Architecture (NIL), Norwegian Industrial Designers (NID) and Organization for Visual Communication (GRAFILL).
