Norwegian, Dutch and British companies are taking part in a seminar held by the East of England Energy Group (EEEGR) in Great Yarmouth on 13 to 15 June. The North Sea gas industry and offshore windmill industry are two main topics. Mark Goodall from Aker Kvaerner will give a presentation
19/07/2004 :: EEEGR hopes the seminar will provide business opportunities between Norway, the Netherlands and the East of England.
The southern North Sea gas industry is concentrated in and around Great Yarmouth - an area that will soon be central to the rapidly growing offshore windmill industry in the UK.
The Norwegian and Dutch companies will participate in excursions to the Scroby Sands Windfarm and the Great Yarmouth Power Station and will have the opportunity to meet the region's energy suppliers.
The following Norwegian companies are participating in the seminar:
- RigNet who provides broadband, plug-and-play data, communication services to offshore rigs, land rigs, and remote locations that drastically enhance communications and decision-making capabilities, save time, and reduce costs
- Haugaland Gass who is a distributor of gas to establishing companies and to the planned CNG terminal supporting the Knutsen PNG shipping concept
- Inocean who is a design and engineering company within the areas of structural design and marine operations of floating structures
- Epcon Offshore
