Norwegian accordionist Camilla Barrat Due is performing in the interdisciplinary performance piece Traffic together with dancers Keir Patrick and Lise Manavit at dance venue Déda in Derby on November 11.
The collaboration is inspired by the piano piece Abundant Numbers by Tom Johnson, a composer who is renowned for his minimalist music based on mathematical themes.
The composition provides a choreographic framework, in which the two dancers and musician freely create their own sound and movement with three accordions, chairs and a sheet of glass whilst spontaneously interacting with each other.
Expect to be surprised by a playful and sophisticated performance that explores new audio-visual connections and captures the individuality of each performer.
