Norwegian choreographer with new show in London

Norwegian choreographer Maria Korsnes will present her latest dance performance at the Blue Elephant Theatre in Camberwell, London 4-6 December.

At ‘Soft Cuts’, which is a series of short encounters with international contemporary artists, Maria Korsnes will be choreographing 'Jane Spencer- Pseudological Fantastica'. The show is an illustration of a moment of genuine transcendence that can be rare and difficult to identify, quantify, and qualify. The body of work is an attempt to isolate that fleeting moment in time at which limitation is exceeded, and instinct becomes heroic impulse.

Korsnes works with experimental contemporary dance and has been living in London since 2003. She was born in Namsos, Norway, and is now a full-time employee at Trinity Laban, one of the world’s leading institutes for contemporary dance training.

At Soft Cuts one will also get the chance to see the dance theatre piece 'Spring' which is performed and choreographed by Tal Jakubowiczova, and the duet 'Oh Baby' with Takeshi Matsumoto and Hagit Yakira, choreographed by Hagit Yakira.
