One of the most popular bands in Norway over the past decade, Big Bang, finally returns to the UK to play a full support tour.
Big Bang has been dubbed “Norway’s Greatest Live Band” and is a major force on the Norwegian music scene. The past years, Big Bang has spent much of their time in the US, especially California, where vocalist Øystein Greni now lives. In 2008, the band released their US debut album, "From Acid to Zen". The album received great reviews, among others from the Rolling Stone Magazine, which claimed: “It’s a shotgun buffet, like those early US LPs by the Beatles and the Rolling Stones that combined album tracks and singles from unrelated sessions, and it succeeds the same way: like an instant greatest-hits record”.
Big Bang has released several full-length albums in Europe, including the best-selling live album in Norwegian history; “Radio Radio TV Sleep” (2003). In 2006, Big Bang played at the main stage at the Roskilde Festival with The Who, The Flaming Lips and The Red Hot Chili Peppers, and in 2007 they toured the UK with The Raconteurs.
Big Bang consists of vocalist Øystein Greni, Olaf Olsen on drums and Øyvind Storli Hoel on bass.
