Northern storytelling in Edinburgh

The Scottish Story Telling Festival 2008 'Northlands and Sagalands' embraces Northern storytellers who will bring the glitter of Northern Lights into Edinburgh's dark autumn.

Led by storytellers from Norway, Sweden, Iceland, Denmark, Finland, Ireland and Alaska, Scotland's annual celebration of storytelling provides live storytelling performances, thought-provoking talks, workshops and discussions and fun family activities.

The magic of live storytelling is in the experience, which is a great activity during Edinburgh’s dark autumn, as the Scottish International Storytelling Festival guarantees all the glitter of Northern Lights.

Norwegian Nina Næsheim, who is one of the storytellers, will, along with the other Northern storytellers, actively work to promote and nurture her own culture in her everyday work. Furthermore, there will be a wide range of activities at the award-winning Scottish Storytelling Centre.
