Nemi's creator at the Victoria & Albert

Following the release of her latest book, Lise Myhre, the mother of Metro's comic strip star Nemi, will be one of the contributors to the V&A's one day symposium about post-War comics and graphic novels.

The cool, romantic, strong-willed, cynical, sexy and all-too-honest twenty-something Goth, has now returned to share more frank and hilarious moments in the book Nemi Vol. 2. Featuring an exclusive introduction by singer-songwriter Tori Amos, this brand new hardback collection from artist Lise Myhre gathers together some of the hilarious highs of the Nemi strip.

Created when Lise Myhre “set out to find an imaginary friend” and named after Italy’s ancient (and supposedly enchanted) Lake Nemi and fictional hero Inigo Montoya of The Princess Bride (one of Myhre’s favourite films), Nemi Montoya is a Goth-tinged heroine for the modern twenty-something, tapping into all the fun, fervour and frustrations of the 21st century woman.
