On 18 November, the European Studies at the British Library is organising a study day exploring contemporary crime fiction across Continental Europe.
Norwegian author Gunnar Staalesen is one of the speakers on the day which also include academics, publishers and translators. The seminar will cover topics like crime fiction as a vehicle for social and political analysis, both contemporary and historical and the part crime fiction has to play in the transmission of European analysis.
