NorskArt, the annual exhibition showcasing young Norwegian artists who are studying in the UK, takes place in London’s trendy Shoreditch from 6 – 10 May.
The exhibition brings together 26 art students who work across a number of art genres, from installations via photography to painting. This year’s exhibition spreads across two floors; starting with clean and brightly lit pieces and working its way to works that take on a distinctive dark and colourful nature.
NorskArt is a student production in all respects and everyone involved is a member of ANSA, the Association of Norwegian Students Abroad. The organisers of the exhibition, which is supported by the Royal Norwegian Embassy, say their aim is to provide Norwegian art students in the UK with the venue and the opportunity to get their time in the spotlight in an otherwise very competitive field.
