Norwegian artist exhibits in Camden

Tore Hogstvedt, whose paintings have been compared to those of  several French impressionists, will exhibit five works at the Camden Art Gallery in London this June.

Hogstvedt love for painting started at a very young age, but due to a lack of guidance he was unable to develop his artistic abilities. Hogtsvedt found the inspiration to rekindle his love for painting after he met the Norwegian wildlife artist Jan P. Bratsberg in 1995. It was Bratsberg who gave Hogstvedt the motivation and guidance to take his passion for painting seriously. Hogstvedt's development and success emanates not only from his natural-born talent as an artist but also from his fascination for the light and colours in nature. His work has often been compared to the French impressionists Monèt, Sisley and Pisarro, and is dedicated to capturing nature as he sees it. With humbleness and honesty Hogstvedt portrays the beauty that he sees manifested in nature. Since 1995, Tore Hogstvedt has taken part in more than 100 exhibitions and several solo-exhibitions both Norway and internationally.

Camden Art Gallery, where the exhibition takes place, unites some of the finest new up-and-coming painters in the contemporary art world. As an independent gallery, they are open to all new contemporary art proposals and are displaying different concepts of art from a rich international culture represented by artists from many countries.
