The Norwegian artist Ida Ekblad will present her works at the exhibition ‘A clothespin left behind on a line’ at the Herald Street Gallery in London this summer.

Ida Ekblad was born in Oslo, Norway, in 1980 and studied at Central St. Martins College of Art in London, the Mountain School of Arts in Los Angeles as well as the National Academy of Art in Oslo. Forthcoming solo exhibitions include Bergen Kunsthall, Norway and Bonniers Kunsthall, Stockholm in 2010, and West London Projects, london, Herald St, London in 2011. 

This summer she will exhibit her works at the Herald St Gallery in London. The poem O Dee Lawn R'Dawn was written by Ida Ekblad for her latest exhibition,‘A clothespin left behind on a line’.

She wanted to wander through three tunnels and around a helix
Armed with eight foot spear, violet copper hood & Incense Wood
She was King before a God on a throne with bulls' legs, above human-headed bulls.
pulling up thistles and weeds
ready to befriend
a Striding figure with ibex horns, a raptor skin draped around the shoulders, and upturned boots.
Or a Cat, Frog, Pig, Raven, Goat, Wolf, Goose, Crow, Bat and Mouse
or a
Dead End
