Information about job vacancies in Norway is available from the Norwegian Labour & Welfare Organisation's website at NAV, or by telephone on (0047) 800 33 166 (freephone within Norway).

You can also contact job centres in the UK and ask their Euroadviser about the EURES (European Employment Services) vacancy database. This is a register of jobs in countries within the EEA (European Economic Area). A list of regional EURES offices in Norway is available on the NAV website or from the Embassy. The EURES website allows employers and job-seekers to be matched up on line.
Information about the EEA agreement is available from the website of the Directorate of Immigration at UDI's web pages. Citizens of EU/EEA countries do not need a work permit in Norway. However, they must apply for a residence permit within three months of arrival.

Most newspapers also carry a ‘Situations Vacant’ column. Try Aftenposten, the main Oslo daily, which also has national distribution, or a local paper in Norway.
