Nordic Theatre Company presents some of Scandinavia’s hottest contemporary playwrights at this year Edinburgh Festival at Sweet at the Crowne Plaza, 14th August at 21:00.
Last year, Norwegian Jon Fosse’s play Girl on the Sofa had a tremendous success at the Festival. This year, Nordic Theatre Company introduces some more exciting playwrights from the Nordic Countries in this exclusive, one night only play reading.
The extracts have been specially chosen and translated for the Festival by the Company whose Co-Artistic Director Christina Anthony-Collins is a translator of Scandinavian plays at The Royal Court.
Nordic Theatre Company is a London based company formed by two Scandinavian directors well established in the British Theatre World; Christina Anthony-Collins (from Denmark) and Marie Parker Shaw (from Sweden). The aims of the company are to promote and preserve Scandinavian literature and drama, classical as well as modern.
