Copenhagen Chair
Tveit & Tornøe’s remarkable Copenhagen chair, which is manufactured by Fora Form, is a low resting chair made of 3D-veneer and upholstery, with a steel base. It is the result of Lars Tornøe’s work with 3D-plywood in his master project. It was designed with the Norwegian embassy in Copenhagen as case study and has now been purchased for several Norwegian embassies. The chair is challenging, but also soft and harmonic. It can stand on its own, as a sculpture or several together in a group.

Tveit & Tornøe is a design studio located in Bergen, Norway, established in 2006. The collaboration consists of Atle Tveit and Lars Tornøe. Their main focus lays in future design, both for the contract and domestic market. They also develop design concepts for spatial projects and exhibition design. Tveit & Tornøe’s work is about bringing enthusiasm into each project, understanding every client’s unique perspective, while adding their own signature. They create contemporary products with appealing expressions and carefully balanced proportions, although their main focus is people, fun and brilliant design. Their ‘Ele&Ela’ chairs won the Norwegian ‘Talent of the Year’ Award in 2007.

Fora Form, the manufacturer of the Copenhagen chairs, is Norway’s leading chair, seating group and table company within the contract market. Their collection is wide in order to suit most demands. Their chief asset is intelligence, creativity and enthusiasm, whilst aiming to develop products which are inspiring and appealing to imagination.

Fora Form AS was founded in 1929 by Petter Langlo and Jens Ekornes under the name ‘Møre lenestolfabrikk’. The use of professional designers was an important attribute already in the 50s, thus about 60 designers have influenced their history, profile and the culture that they have developed.

Fora Form has had demanding development projects and delivery projects to among other: The National Theatre, The Norwegian Theatre, Prime Minister's Office, Government House, The Norwegian Bank, Oslo Airport Gardermoen, Oslo Court House and Riks Hospital have also had affect on culture and the level of competence in Fora Form.

Wik & Walsøe
Wik & Walsøe’s exclusive vases are from the Alvespire (Elfin sprout) collection, which symbolises dreams, hope and the belief in making the impossible come true. It is a joyful, noble-minded and skilful handicraft. The Elfins are the angels of nature; smart and strong helpers for mankind and earth.

Wik & Walsøe’s inspiration is based on dreams of future, respect for nature, unique individuals, social relations, adventures, memories, cultural heritage, supernatural phenomenons and folklore. The porcelain consists of precious vitreous feldspar porcelain produced from pure natural and lead-free materials. Vitrified porcelain is one of the most sustainable materials one can find. This genuine porcelain is characterised by its whiteness, beautiful shining glaze, transparency and pure sound. The porcelain is burnt at very high temperatures, which makes it extra strong and 100 percent impervious even before glazing.

In less than a year the design duo Linda Svedal Walsøe and Ragnhild Wik has been established on the international design arena. They launched their debut collection in September 2007, and their first exhibition was at 100% Norway in London last year. Their unique Elfin porcelain and Woodstokk tableware has been featured in international press and they now have customers all over the world.
